In Life.

In another direction completely is the Highice species, these reptiles as you can deduce live on the few proper cold peaks not on the Yofores Range. An odd species with multiple retractable limbs and the ability to slither or run at high speeds make this a formidable predator. For prey they mostly hunt birds but an occasional gravity eddy will bring fish near enough for them to snatch. During colder seasons they will even venture far down the mountains and hunt the Bloontz, as much as that can be considered hunting. While these are indeed cold blooded creatures a special compound found in ONs structure outbreaks seems to have provided the catalyst for their divergent evolutionary path in which they are able to generate a thin thermal layer over their skin. This thermal layer is often utilized in hunting or fleeing by stunning the adversary as the heat is more than any other creature on ON can withstand. The ability to shape this thermal layer seems to be in itself infant stages for the species with some of the more advanced being able to shape it into the form of spikes to protect themselves or even attack.
