Despite conventional knowledge and inference the solar research structure has little attachment to the hyperdense solar tools, it seems that the solar research structure was placed on the planet by an ancient society which was within its third technological stage about 5 ages ago. The institute as it was seems to have been a super original sector establishment built to study the unique effects of the solar structure of the system. An oddity of the structure itself which makes it unique is the construction seems to rely on existing levels of exposed super-structure, indicating that either: this society had the tools to manipulate the nano-tech in order to keep it from repairing the construction out of existence or they had some sort of connection to the original builders, however the second is unlikely for a number of reasons (addressed in document marked Primary Species, section regarding Unnamed Original Species 00031). Note that the structure itself was indeed a school, but the students seem to be by necessity born and raised on ON.
