Floating far above the lounge and the box is the general use platform (GUP). 30 kilometers wide, 600 long, and 1000 deep it is almost completely smooth, save for the rare landing strip deployed on it's face. Unlike most similar platforms, this platform is truly general use, it can not only create unlimited configurations, it can also generate the base materials needed for configurations it cannot currently generate in less time than it takes to request them from any available matter. On first discovery the GUP resembled an enormous food garden although it seemed many of the food stuffs had rotted quite completely, and seeing as most animals refused to approach the thing there was no chance they would actually consume what had previously been incredible quality food. GUP responds to any command made on any wavelength unless it has previous commands that it is executing or if there is a current generation, in which it creates basic construction materials from prior configurations, or a rest period, in which the system fixes any broken apparatus or generates completely new ones. Many attempts have been made to outwit GUP, however none have even got close to succeeding, in fact GUP will reject requests that make it unusable to others for more than 2 days and any request having to do with weaponry, save for play weaponry such as lasers for tagging.
